Greetings!
Following on the heels of our previous email on Excel
2007, we continue to frown upon some of Microsoft's
ways, this time, in creating Excel for Mac computers.
In a testament to the general lack of creativity of PC
laptop manufacturers and kudos to Steve Jobs and
Apple, we see an increasing number of Mac users in
our public courses. (What does this have to do with
creativity? well think about it - Dell's answer to "boring
gray laptops" is more color, whereas Apple actually
has
cool designs).
In a testament to segmenting their market (perhaps by
making a transition to Macs more difficult), only a few
random non-significant PC-based Excel shortcuts
work the same on the Mac version of Excel. Our
general gripe with Macs, not necessary Microsoft
though, is the lack of ability to use the "ALT" key to
access menus.
To facilitate our Mac constituents, we have
assembled a list of Excel shortcuts for the Mac
which you can download at: WST Free
Resources
Finally, in some shameless self-advertising,
all of our courses,
including follow-on advanced content, are
also available online in our video-based, self-study
platform which replicates the live learning
environment including side-by-side Excel
modeling building and much more! Visit
www.wstselfstudy.com - just for receiving this
email you can enter in discount code:
fightexcel2007 (see our previous email for
why) for

Thank you very much!
