He already 'owned' it. He was the 'King of Fish.' The actual contest seemed a mere formality. One of my favorite escapes is watching the Food Network. This show was a challenge for the best fish preparation. The winner would be crowned the 'King of Fish.' On this occasion, I found the demeanor of the contestants much more fascinating than the dishes they prepared.
As the host intermittently interviewed the contestants one man consistently displayed a relaxed, yet energized, confidence that spoke volumes. It wasn't arrogance. You could feel he believed, without question, that he was already the 'King of Fish.' He 'owned' it.
The other contestants were "hoping," "trying," and "complaining" of things gone wrong. My bet was on the confident man.
Of course, he was crowned.
When you 'own' your vision, you are relaxed, yet energized, and confident regardless of circumstances. If you 'own' nothing - circumstances will 'own' you.
In Spiral Impact language this is "centered in who you are."
What is your claim, what are you King of?
