| Greetings!
This past weekend I finally got the time to clean and hang my bird feeders. Nothing gives me more pleasure than looking out my window in the morning and seeing the gathering birds around the feeders and clinging to my suet cages.
I find this soothing for my soul. It gives me such a connection to the world around me. I can't give a reason why, it's just the feeling I get when I know I'm giving my feathered friends a helping hand.
That helping hand extends to you as well. I hope this eWing provides you with helpful information about the environment and how you and I can make it a better place.
I hope that this monthly email provides you with useful information on how you can participate in Audubon's programs and events...
...and lets you know how your support, both in donations and volunteering, is making a difference to this organization and its work to protect Rhode Island's natural places.
As with the birds and wildlife we help, Audubon can't do its work without a helping hand from you!
I wish I could tell you that every year Audubon gets by on grants and your membership dues alone. . . but I can't.
Our efforts are far reaching, and it takes staff and organizational support to fulfill our critical mission of environmental advocacy, conservation and education.
We can't do it without extra help from you.
Over the next few days, if you haven't already received it, you will find in your mailbox our Helping Hand Appeal. Please be as generous as you can. Two-thirds of our budget comes from supporters like you. No donation is too big nor too small...it all adds up to a better environment for us all.
Please give Audubon a Helping Hand!
Good Birding,
Jeff
