with SafeVu (TM)
|
When it comes to operator safety...
Seeing is believing! G&W's Trident with SafeVu(TM) technology adds an integral visible break feature to G&W's familiar line of dependable solid dielectric switches. The new Trident is fully dead front and submersible.
TRIDENT Solid Dielectric Insulated Underground Distribution Switches Fault Interrupting through 27kV, 800A, 12.5kA symmetrical interrupting.SOLID DIELECTRIC TECHNOLOGY Trident switchgear utilizes G&W's time proven, submersible epoxy polymer system to fully encapsulate the vacuum interrupters. This system provides excellent insulation properties and incorporates a permanently bonded semiconductive external coating providing a fully shielded, void-free construction. Internal shields limit the electrical stress in the epoxy, therefore increasing its electrical integrity. All modules are UV protected and 100% factory tested for partial discharge. Dual ratio current transformers are encapsulated within each module providing either 500:1 or 1000:1 protection characteristics. SUBMERSIBILITY Solid dielectric switchgear is deadfront and fully submersible. Units have remained fully operable after withstanding a 20 foot head of water for 20 days.
MAINTENANCE BENEFITS Solid dielectric insulation means no more routine maintenance as with oil and air switchgear. Solid dielectric insulation also offers an alternative to gas insulated devices.
APPLICATION FLEXIBILITY Solid dielectric switchgear offers compact, modular configurations for various applications. Applications include: (Click on links for Application Guides)

Morgan Schaffer's Multi-Gas On-Line Transformer Monitoring Systems
| |
Visit Morgan Schaffer at Booth #1627.
Already well respected internationally for their Calisto and Calisto 2 transformer main tank monitors, Morgan Schaffer has expanded the range of Calisto monitors with two new, enhanced units:
- the Calisto 5, which detects 5 key gases, and
- the Calisto 9, which measures 7 fault gases, plus oxygen and nitrogen.
The new generation Calisto monitors are completely interchangeable to fulfill the needs of the evolving condition of your transformer and will also provide a more in-depth analysis. If a transformer has been fitted with the standard detection-based Calisto 2 unit and the transformer develops a major issue, you can now do a quick changeover to a multi-gas option for a more in-depth analysis. Eventually you could have a planned outage and repair, then return the original monitor to the transformer.

Morgan Schaffer's Calisto and Doble's IDD work together for an ideal solution
|
The new multi-gas Calisto systems feature a number of innovations, including continuous oil circulation with integral flow monitoring; precision thermal regulation; native support of Modbus, DNP3 and (optionally) IEC61850 communications; extensive analogue I/Os and output relays that are user configurable; CE marking; and Calisto Manager software for Calisto configuration and tracking a network of Calisto units.
