Tips for Springing into Life
Baby Bird in Grass As the weather changes, and plants come to life, it's a natural time to think of changes we would like to make in our lives. Tuning into Nature's cycles and wisdom can show us the way. Nature reminds us that--
  1. Spring always comes. No matter how cold, long and hard the winter, remember that spring always returns.

  2. Spring comes when the earth turns in relation to the sun. To bring spring into your life, find what warms your life and energizes you, like the sun does the earth. Do some of it, a little more each day

  3. New growth starts with tiny, tender shoots--in the earth, and in us. These need to be seen, protected nourished and nurtured

  4. Nature's perfect plant food is last year's dead foliage, plus manure, which comes from well, you know. Surely you have some of it that you can recycle to fertilize this year's new growth.

  5. March winds and April snow and rain bring May or June flowers. Welcome the winds of change, and the showers of tears that cleanse and water your life. Know and trust that growth is a natural process and there is no need to try to force your growth.

To Heal Your Past:

To Transform Your Pain:
Tough and painful experiences provide the opportunity to see who you are what what you are made of. ...Only a courageous person can accept and pursue the opportunity to face herself, to dive into a sea of hurt, unanswered questions, and loneliness in order to find the light. To find answers. To find out who you are". -Michelle Akers

MisFit Magic: Tips for Creative, Sensitive and/or Gifted People
Rodolph Graphic People with ADD & AD/HD, and many who are Gifted or Highly Sensitive have much in common. They are visual-spatial learners and thinkers, more commonly knows as Right-brain Dominant. Here's some tips for Right-brain People:
  1. Jump start your brain with your body. Get aerobic and/or strength-building exercise every day, preferably in the morning.
  2. Build your life around your DREAM. What are you passionate about? Don't know? Find out. Focus on this, and the rest of your life will fall into place.
  3. Everyone has DUTY to perform, of one kind or another. Focus on WHY you do it-- i.e., you love to have a clean house, so you clean it; you love your family, so you care for them.
  4. Yes, everyone has DRUDGERY in their lives. A) Decide if it's really necessary. B) Focus on why you do it. C) Make it as fun as possible. D) Approach it meditatively, reflectively; or listen to energizing music or a recorded book while you do it; or do it with someone else; E) While you do it, visualize your DREAM coming true.
  5. Divide the DREAM, the DUTY, and the DRUDGERY equally in your life, and in your household.

Do you know someone who has ADD or AD/HD, or who is Gifted or Highly Sensitive? Do they sometimes feel like they don't fit in, like Rudolph the Red- nosed Reindeer, who was banished to the Land of MisFit Toys? Remember the story? Rudolph's red nose got him banished, and it was this same nose that later helped him save the day for everyone.

Likewise, it is often the traits that give Right- brain people trouble that are the very things which enable them to help our world in significant ways.

This is the basis we work from as we help Right-brain folks leave the metaphorical Land of MisFit Toys and develop their gifts and genius in real life.

Our next MisFit Magic PlayShop is scheduled for June 2, 2007. Pass the word along to those you know who are facing these issues.
