Yiddishists of years past may have had their annual rocking Anarchist Ball every Yonkiper, so this year Yiddishkayt thought we'd bring a little awesomeness to the Days of Awe. This Friday at Genghis Cohen, iconoclastic klezmer with a punk edge hits the stage, when Geoff Berner comes to L.A.

The outstanding Canadian singer-songwriter brings his klezmer-influenced sound here with the release of his Victory Party album which returns the traditionally transgressive side of Yiddish music back to its radical roots.
