Whatever you call it and whatever you put in it, kugl is the ultimate in American Jewish culinary creativity.

On June 1st, we invite you to put your kugl to the test. Bring your best kugl (or bring your tasting fork) and join our panel of celebrity judges, including Pulitzer Prize winner Jonathan Gold (Gourmet & LA Weekly), Evan Kleiman (host of KCRW's Good Food), Amy Albert (Bon Appetit), Marvin Saul (founder, Junior's Deli) and Joshua Neuman (Publisher, Heeb).

Kugl drop-off from 12 to 1 pm.
From 1 to 4 pm: kugl tasting, live music, oral history recording, and a family workshop. At Valley Cities Jewish Community Center (13164 Burbank Blvd., Sherman Oaks).

REGISTRATION - ENTER YOUR KUGL!
Bring a kugl and enter the competition (plus get free admission)! Baking a kugl takes no more than a few hours. Savoring the bragging rights of winning the Kugl Kukh-Off can last for years! Don't miss this opportunity to put your kugl to the test. Here's how you enter your kugl: 1. Click here to download the form (adobe acrobat pdf). Print out the form, fill it out, and bring it with your kugl on Sunday June 1st. 2. Let us know you're bringing a kugl. Call us at 213.389.8880 or fax your form to 213.365.0702 or email us to tell us your name and the name of your kugl. (You can still enter a kugl even if you don't tell us beforehand.) 3. Drop off your kugl on Sunday, June 1st between 12 and 1 pm. Our panel of celebrity judges will taste your entry and then it will be placed in the tasting hall, which will open to the public at 1:30 pm. 4. Hold your breath through the Awards Ceremony at 3:00 pm. Ribbons and prizes will be given for: Most Creative People's Choice the top three Sweet Kugls the top three Savory Kugls Best in Show
