Indoor Air Pollution- Not just about the bag, it's the whole vacuum!
The moment you step outside of your home, you relinquish your control of your environment. You are exposed to all types of air-pollution, but these aren't the only lung-damaging emissions you need to protect against. When it comes to your home, you do have a choice. You are empowered to decide what you will allow to occur in your own environment.
While IBR test data shows that the average vacuum cleaner exhausts 5.2 million fine particles per minute, you can make a decision not to settle for average. How, by making your vacuum cleaner choice a Miele!
The EPA has linked fine particle exposure to adverse health effects, including premature death, aggravated asthma and chronic bronchitis. Particles measuring 0.3-0.5 microns in size have a great likelihood of being deeply inhaled into your lungs, where they are absorbed into the bloodstream or embedded into your lung tissue.
Miele Captures Motor Emissions Most Effectively Interbasic Resources (IBR), an accredited 3rd party laboratory undertaking the testing of particulate contamination and filtration performance verification, was commisioned by Miele to conduct an efficiency test of 5 leading vacuum cleaner brands to access their emission rates.
One test was conducted to determine the volume of carbon dust particles emitted from each vacuum cleaner's fan. The results showed the poorest performing unit discharged over 13 million particles per minute. The Miele vacuum captured motor emissions most effectively, emitting 638 times fewer carbon dust particles than the average vacuum cleaner testing. Another test conducted was to measure the complete emissions efficiency-evaluating each units overall capture and retention rate. The test findings revealed that Miele captures significantly more fine particles, with the nearest brand releasing 21 times more particles per minute. Why would anyone concerned about air filtration and indoor pollution, buy anything except a Miele. Anything else is a compromise!
